Where can I find Anansi and Groundwood e-books?

Anansi and Groundwood e-books are available for purchase directly from our website, and also from your favorite e-book retailer.  Our e-books are also available for download from many public library websites.

What formats are Anansi and Groundwood e-books available in?

Our books are available from our website as ePub files. EPub is the open e-book standard format. If you are looking for one of our titles in an alternate format formatted for a specific reading device (e.g. Kindle, Nook, iPad), you may purchase that particular format from that particular e-book retailer.  

How do I download an e-book from your website?

E-book files purchased from our website are in ePub format and designed to be downloaded and opened using Adobe Digital Editions. To purchase an e-book from our website, add the book to your shopping cart and follow the instructions to complete the purchase. Once you complete your purchase of the download, you can instantly download the e-book right from your order confirmation page. You will also receive a receipt via email that includes a link. This link will allow you to download the e-book to your computer. All instructions for how to download the file are included in the email.

While Adobe does not currently have a version of the software for mobile devices, there are many apps that can be used to view the files on various devices (iPhone, iPad, Android). You will find a list of apps and their suppliers here:

Links to all of your downloaded books are maintained on the House of Anansi website, in the event that you need to retrieve a file you have purchased. To locate your downloads, click on "My Account" and log in. Next, click on "My e-books" to see a list of your purchased e-books. These links are currently maintained for 1 year.

If you are experiencing technical difficulties with an e-book you've purchased from us, please refer to the instructions in your email receipt or read below. If you are unable to find the information you need, please send an email to customerservice@houseofanansi.com.

All Anansi and Groundwood e-books are protected by international copyright law. It is illegal to email or share these files with any other person or website. You may not post them on any network or any file sharing website. You may not print these files. Each time you purchase a download from us, the file is licensed solely to you.

How long does it take to download an e-book?

Depending on the speed of your connection, it could take anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 minutes to download an e-book. If your download is taking an unusually long time, ensure that your Internet connection is functioning properly. If you are unable to complete your download, please email customerservice@houseofanansi.com.

How do I transfer an e-book onto my device?

Please refer to your device's manual for instructions.

Are e-books returnable?

E-books are not returnable. However, if you are experiencing technical difficulties, are unable to download your purchase, or there is something wrong with the file, please email customerservice@houseofanansi.com. If we cannot resolve the technical problem, you will be issued a full refund.

Can I print or share an e-book?
