Girls with Grit

A Groundwood girl is a girl with grit. Our characters overcome obstacles, make their voices heard, and stand up for what they believe in. Whether it’s Emma in Broken Memory who survives the Rwandan genocide, or Sabine in earthgirl who starts a blog and becomes an eco-warrior, our girls are reflecting the voices of real girls around the world who are determined to make a difference.
